The route

As said in the tag line, this trip will take us roughly 20,000 miles, across 22 countries. As for which countries please read on and check the map below. However in the interest of avoiding spoilers, we’ll keep the juicy details of what we’ll be doing in these places for you to find out in later blog posts.

Outbound

We’ll be leaving from Lancaster in the UK, through western Europe, and across Turkey, we’ll then take a ferry across the Caspian Sea, travel through the stan’s, nip into Russia and drop into Mongolia, for the final leg towards Ulaanbaatar.

We’ll pass through the following countries enroute:

Homeward-bound

Returning we’ll be heading through Russia to Moscow and St Petersburg, through the Baltic’s, across to Amsterdam, and back home across the Chanel.

On the way home we’ll be passing through these countries:
